About:
Since 2009, Falls Duathlon has been a great way to get your multisport season started! It's only 30 minutes away from both St. Paul and Rochester.
We have had many over the years come to this duathlon and everyone agrees, it is one of the best early duathlons out there. The transition area is at the Cannon Falls pool parking lot on pavement. The whole course is along the Cannon River and if you want a short cut, make it a triathlon and cross the river to the other side. But honestly, you will love this Duathlon as it winds along the river. If it's your first time at this event you will see why we call it the Falls Duathlon on the first run when you go up the trail next to the falls and later back down on the other side.
The bike course is an out and back on CR 20 and the turnaround is about 0.1 miles before you get to CR50. The course is rolling hills but the rolling is very slight and long. The main thing you may deal with is the wind. Be prepared for open country riding as the wind may help you some and it may be a real pain in the bike seat at other times!
The last run is very different from the first run in that it runs out and back on the Cannon Valley trail. This is a beautiful course that is mostly shaded by trees that hang over the trails.
After the race, enjoy hotdogs from one of our resident Final Stretch chefs on staff!
Race Awards:
Awards will be given to the top three male and female runners in each age category: 19 & Under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & Up. There will also be awards for the top 3 overall male and female athletes, top 3 relay teams, top 3 Clydesdales, and top 3 Athenas. The award ceremony will begin after the race concludes. Must be present to win.

There is parking available around the park and at the Cannon Valley Farigrounds. Please follows the signs to the parking entrance into Cannon Valley Fairgrounds on the corner of Minnesota Street W and Union Street on the southwest side of the fairgrounds.
