About:
Get ready to represent your state in this epic 5k & half marathon showdown! These races start in Stillwater, Minnesota and finish in Wisconsin shortly after crossing the I-94 bridge over Lake St. Croix. Runners will battle for the lead and the honor of bringing home the win for their state as they race over the river into Hudson, Wisconsin. Just like the long standing rivalry between Minnesota and Wisconsin, this race has a strong history and has been taking place annually since 1997! Come for the spirit of friendly competition then stay for the food and festivities in the park.

Battle for the Border:
The winner of the border battle is determined by adding up the first five finishers from Minnesota, Wisconsin, and other states. There will also be a State Spirit Award given to the participant who displays outstanding pride for their state, so be sure to wear your face paint, costumes, or anything that will display your state pride!

Pier Five Hundred Brunch:
Pier Five Hundred is offering a brunch discount to all participants on their Gopher to Badger Brunch Menu! Brunch starts at 10am. The regular menu is also available. Here are the delectable brunches that are just $8!
- All American Breakfast: three farm fresh eggs, prepared to your liking served with smoked bacon or pork sausage links done right, herbed hash browns and multigrain toast.
- Salmon and Eggs: scrambled eggs, pesto roasted salmon, cream cheese, and chives. served with herbed hash browns and multigrain toast
- Eggs Benedict: two farm fresh poached eggs served on grilled english muffins with canadian bacon. topped with house made hollandaise sauce and served with herbed hash brown
- French Toast

Awards & Finisher Medals: 

Overall and age group awards are sponsored by Run N Fun. 

Every runner who finishes either the 5k or the half marathon will receive a finisher medal. Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female runners in each age category: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Up. Additionally, awards will be given to the top 3 overall male and female half marathon finishers. The top overall male and female 5k finisher will also receive an award. The award ceremony will begin after the race concludes at the band shell. Must be present to receive award.

Pacers:

Terra Loco pacers will be guiding you to your goal finish time for the Half Marathon! Get acquainted with your desired pace pack in the starting corral on race morning.
 

Bussing:
Bussing will be provided from Lakefront Park to both the 5k and half marathon start lines. Buses will begin loading at 6:00 am. The last bus for the half marathon leaves at 6:55 am! There will be bathrooms and water available at both start lines. If you don't feel like taking a trip down memory lane and going for a ride on one of the luxuriousyellow school buses provided, we encourage half marathoners to seek a ride to their start line. Please note: Transportation will not be provided back to the start line after the race has begun!

Parking:
There are many parking lots and street parking spaces available near Lakefront Park in Hudson. 5k runners can be dropped off at the start line, there is no parking available at the 5k start. Half marathon runners can be dropped off or car pool to their start line. There is parking available at the half marathon start but there will be no bussing back to this location after the event.
